Developing the next generation of advanced AI will require powerful new computers capable of quintillions of operations per second. Meta approached DSM in 2021 to create a video announcing the completion of the AI Research SuperCluster (RSC) — which they believe is among the fastest AI supercomputers running today and will be the fastest AI supercomputer in the world when it’s fully built out in mid-2022.
DSM filmed for two days on location in Virginia, conducting interviews on site as well as remotely, and shooting drone footage and on-location b-roll to bring the story of the AI Supercomputer to life. The video was originally shared on the Meta AI blog in early January 2022. After an engagement analysis conducted by Meta AI Comms Team, the post and corresponding video was touted to be the most engaging video of 2022 at Meta.
