Located in the near northwest side of San Antonio, the Jefferson Neighborhood Association is a large neighborhood organization that is well-respected across San Antonio and has preserved a community rich in culture, diversity, families, and businesses. Needing an update to their logo, the JNA turned to DSM to design something that would be rooted in the neighborhood’s character, but polished enough to be a representation of leadership and support.
Being long-time members and residents of the Jefferson neighborhood and JNA, DSM was able to fully embrace the project to design a logo that highlights one of the jewels of the neighborhood, the Thomas Jefferson High School’s Spanish Baroque architecture. Using the outline of the dome that sits atop the 1932 building, and accented with local flora and the JNA’s name and establishment date—the logo came together beautifully. Now used as a signature piece for the organization, the new logo has instilled an even stronger sense of pride and ownership within the community.
